Embree's Blessing

We have been so blessed to have Embree with us. She brings so much happiness, joy, and love into our home. We feel so lucky! Dave gave Embree her blessing this last Sunday, it was so sweet. He did an amazing job! You could feel the love from everyone there in person and in spirit. It was another really neat experience! I am so grateful for a husband who has and honors the Priesthood, so he could bless her and offer other blessings when needed. That in itself is an enormous blessing for our family.

Sorry there is so many pictures that are almost the same there at the end, its pretty hard to pick just a couple.
Her beautiful dress was bought by her grandma and grandpa Laloli about six years ago for their first granddaughter. It was sure special to have a piece of them and their love with us physically.

Thanksgiving with the Hilton's (Hanks families)

So since there were a bunch of pictures for this event I am trying to do a slideshow of all the pictures. I just found out how to do it, so you'll have to let me know if it works out!---(So I think it does work now. To view it larger just click on it)

This year was a full house at my mom's! We had all the families of Alan and Sandy, Sarah and Kurt, Lisa and Rob, Pam, Chris and Sharon, Fred and Paula Baker, and our neighbor Bill Ferguson. It was filled with lots of fun, little kids running around, jewelry making (thanks to Lisa), a game of "Risk" for those game players, the movie "Startrek", and hot tubbing for those that wanted. It was lots of fun! Thanks mom for hosting such a large crew!! Everyone had a blast!

Thanksgiving with Laloli's

Every year the Laloli's have their Thanksgiving on the night before so every one can hit both family parties every year, so Wednesday we had Thanksgiving with them. We didn't do very good at getting very many pictures, but we did sneak a few in. The food was delicious, and I think they did something special with the stuffing because I actually liked it! I'm usually not a stuffing/dressing fan at all, but it was really good! It was fun for Embree to continue meeting the family. When we were leaving we got Embree talking on camera it was so cute, it kept sounding like she was saying "hiii" with a bunch of gurgles at the end, with a bunch of smiles :). Draygen sang her Thanksgiving song for Everyone, she's so brave and did such a great job! We got that on video as well, I wish we had a still shot as well. I've never attempted uploading videos on here since our computer can hardly handle a picture at a time...maybe someday!

-Shotgun Shooting-

So the Hilton family decided to go shotgun shooting! I think this is the first time -I- have ever been or gone with them. I think it helped that Ben was bringing a "special" friend with him, it made us all want to come and meet her ;) We did miss Dan and Maeg though!
We ended up shooting up in Mantua, where Laura (bens friend) is from. Below the "I" in Brigham City was our initial destination, but we couldn't find any good place.
I ended up only shooting Levi's BB gun, I was going to shoot Seth's twenty two, but never did, and then said I had a baby to take care of, so I couldn't shoot the shotgun. Good excuse eh? Me and my mom were both using that excuse, but Laura braved it! She was awesome, but once was good for her. She may have done it twice but I can't really remember well ( it was so extremely cold up there it interfered with my memory ;) Nevertheless we still created some fun memories!

Two months!

Ok, I promise I'll get better at posting more often, rather than a huge post every month! But this is what Embree's been up to this month, she was 2 months last Monday!

• SMILES! We love her smiles! Its amazing how such a thing can make you SO extremely happy! We can't wait for her to giggle. Its so cute, she just beams when she smiles and sometimes will smile so big, then turn her face making her look a little shy, probably from the reaction we give her :)
• Her neck is getting so strong, she likes sitting in her bumbo seat now
• We've brought out all the toys because she knows they exist now. She loves seeing toys bounce, rattle, or sing to her
• At her 2 month appt. she was in the 99% in both weight and height! Weighing 13 lbs 13 oz, and was 24 1/2 inches long! She's been such a strong healthy baby, we've been surely blessed!
• She still sleeps in the bassinet in our room and we've tried a couple naps in her crib in her own room, but we love holding her or seeing her nap right next to me on her tummy, she loves that!
• I got a pump! Its been so nice to have a bottle to feed her at church, so if she gets hungry during the first couple hours I can stay and teach my primary class, or Dave can feed her while in Priesthood. And also can have a bottle when I leave her with my mom on those nights out. I hate leaving her at all, but once I do get out, its nice to have a little break, and I'm grateful my mom is More than willing to take her for a couple hours
• She's started into her 3-6 mth clothes, her 0-3 are almost too small! Its fun to look back at her Newborn size clothes and see how small she was for a little while.
• She cooh's wooh's and talks more and more. She is such a fun person to talk to.
• She is so happy in the morning, its so great. You say one word and she just starts grinning!
• Bubbles! She's discovered how to blow bubbles out of her mouth, so we occasionally find her chin all wet and slobbery
• When her hand is resting on something(i.e. shirt, arm, etc.) she opens and closes her hand. Its so fun feeling her scratch/rub or hold onto you
• When on her tummy she will rub her nose back and forth and when she is on her back laying down she will turn her head side to side (not knowing she is rubbing her hair off!) Its kinda funny, she'll usually do it till she gets tired, I make her stop, or she gets a binky or some food.

Sunday afternoon with Grandma Laloli, she is 79 and in such good health~ we love her so much!

We tried her little baby bathtub in our shower downstairs, as you can tell we had to use a bunch of towels to prop her up. It might be best to wait till she can sit up really good on her own before we use it again. We will use her little floaty until then, she loves that!

She didn't like it all that much at first, but each week she gets better and likes it more and more!

Embree finally got to meet another good friend, Jack Read (Tiffany and Chase). They sure had fun playing! They are exactly 3 weeks apart

We got to babysit Ammon for about an hour after the flag football game, it sure was fun! We got to see what it might be like when we have 2 kids :)

3 week old baby pictures

I finally decided to take my own pictures of Embree one night because she was 3 weeks old and I still hadn't gotten out to get them done! I did the best I could with a digital camera, and these are a few I got--little cutie. And I love little feet, so there are a few of those too!
